KUALA LUMPUR July 16 – In an era defined by digital disruption, sustainability, and inclusive progress, few leaders embody these values as gracefully and effectively as Dr. Leena Almujahed.
At the World Women Economic & Business Summit (WWEBS) held recently in Kuala Lumpur, Dr. Leena was presented with the World Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs Award, a recognition of her transformative work across humanitarian, fashion, and entrepreneurial spheres.
Themed “Transforming Tomorrow: Women Leading in a Digital, Sustainable, and Inclusive Future,” WWEBS convened more than 200 prominent participants—from policymakers and innovators to changemakers—across the Asia-Pacific region.
Amid this distinguished gathering, Dr. Leena’s recognition stood out as a testament to her visionary leadership and commitment to sustainable impact.
As the Founder of MyFashionChamber Malaysia and CEO of Jwan Unique Group, Dr. Leena has championed Malaysia as a rising global hub for inclusive and sustainable fashion. Her fashion brand, Maison de Lina, transcends style—it’s a symbol of purpose.

Through it, she drives social change by economically empowering displaced women, notably via her long-standing advocacy with the Yemeni Refugee Women Organization. Her efforts to provide vocational and entrepreneurial training to refugee women have garnered international acclaim—including recognition by the United Nations in Geneva.
“Fashion is more than just design,” Dr. Leena once remarked. “It’s a cultural force for change—a way to empower, educate, and elevate lives.” This ethos underpins her journey as a cultural diplomat, humanitarian, and economic innovator—harmoniously blending heritage and modernity, compassion and commerce.
The summit also featured notable addresses by Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, Minister of Women, Family and Community Development; Dr. Rusmini Ku Ahmad from the Ministry of Education; and Madam Nurul Izzah Anwar.
