Kuala Lumpur, Dec 16 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has unveiled the full line-up of the MADANI Government Cabinet, featuring a mix of seasoned leaders and fresh faces across strategic portfolios.
Anwar retains the finance portfolio, supported by Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan. Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof also hold key roles in rural development and energy transition respectively.
Among the new faces entering Cabinet for the first time are:
Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan – Second Finance Minister
Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir – Economy Minister
Arthur Joseph Kurup – Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister
Steven Sim Chee Keong – Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister
Gobind Singh Deo – Digital Minister
Ramkarpal Singh – Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform)
Chang Lih Kang – Science, Technology and Innovation Minister
Dr Zulkifli Hasan – Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs)
Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari – Youth and Sports Minister
Mordi Bimol – Deputy Youth and Sports Minister
Fahmi Fadzil – Communications Minister
Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh – Deputy Natural Resources Minister
Teo Nie Ching – Deputy Communications Minister
Wong Kah Woh – Deputy Education Minister
Hanifah Hajar Taib – Deputy Health Minister
Lukanisman Awang Sauni – Deputy Foreign Minister
Chiew Choon Man – Deputy Tourism Minister

Anwar said the Cabinet reflects the MADANI Government’s commitment to reform, inclusivity and performance. “We have brought in capable individuals from diverse backgrounds to drive transformation across sectors,” he explained.
The Cabinet structure introduces new emphasis on digitalisation, energy transition, economic resilience, and youth empowerment, with portfolios such as Digital, Economy, and Youth and Sports led by younger or reform-minded figures.
Analysts note that the inclusion of technocrats and younger MPs signals a shift towards policy continuity with generational renewal, balancing experience with innovation.
