Kuala Lumpur, Oct 28 – Babah, produced by Nads Media Entertainment, will premiere nationwide on December 5, delivering a heartfelt story that highlights the struggles and sacrifices of a father raising his only daughter. The film, which showcases an emotional bond rarely portrayed between fathers and daughters, was inspired by real-life moments captured in viral videos and adapted into a moving narrative by producer Wan Rafiq Fadzly W. Abdulah.

Wan Rafiq explained the film’s inspiration: “Several viral clips, such as a father performing at his daughter’s wedding and a husband caring for his ailing wife, sparked the idea for Babah. These relatable stories have been woven together into a storyline that resonates deeply with society.”

Throughout the years, Isyak and Maya endure conflicts and obstacles, illustrating the timeless power of familial love and resilience. The film also features an acclaimed cast, including Cristina Suzanne and Adam Lee, bringing depth and emotion to this unique narrative.

Director Mohd Shah Faizul Ibrahim shared his enthusiasm about the project, which he found deeply personal: “After reading the script, I immediately knew I wanted to direct Babah. The writing felt very personal, and I believed it would make for an impactful film.”
