The MoU was formalised by Professor Datuk Dr Kassim Noor Mohamed, Chief Executive and Vice Chancellor of ELMU, and Haji Ismail Hashim, President of MGKK.

“This programme is highly significant as it enables us to evaluate achievements, plan future directions, and identify current issues related to the guidance and counselling services,” he said.

He further described guidance and counselling teachers as vital emotional, academic, and social support agents, playing a key role in students’ success.

“They help students explore careers, prepare for post-secondary options, manage life transitions, and advocate for their needs. Partnerships like this MoU reinforce these efforts in a more holistic and impactful way,” he added.

Beyond academic collaboration, Kassim stressed the importance of unity and patriotism, praising the Ministry of Education’s recent move to make Jalur Gemilang badge-wearing mandatory in schools.

He also highlighted ELMU’s weekly playing of the national anthem Negaraku as a patriotic gesture.

“As professionals responsible for character development, MGKK members should actively support the Madani government’s mission to raise a patriotic, resilient, and united generation,” said Kassim.

The ceremony was officiated by Negeri Sembilan Foundation Director, Datuk Muhammad Nazri Kasim, and also attended by ELMU Deputy President and Registrar, Datuk Wan Azman Wan Omar, and Negeri Sembilan MGKK President, Azril Razali.
