SEPANG, March 26 – Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (Malaysia Airports), Malaysia Airports, the operator of KLIA, and the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) have confirmed a cybersecurity threat affecting certain computer systems at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on March 23, 2025.
Despite the incident, authorities assure that airport operations, including flights and passenger processing, remain unaffected.
Authorities Closely Monitoring the Situation
A comprehensive investigation was launched immediately, with NACSA and the Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia (CAAM) promptly notified.
NACSA Chief Executive Ir. Dr. Megat Zuhairy Megat Tajuddin stated:
“We have been monitoring developments closely since receiving Malaysia Airports’ report on March 23. KLIA operations are not impacted, and we will continue to support Malaysia Airports in ensuring cybersecurity resilience.”
