Kuala Lumpur, 17 Oct – Astro Radio today held a Radio Announcers’ Appreciation Day to honor all radio announcers under its network of 13 radio stations. The event aimed to recognize the dedication and efforts of the announcers who consistently entertain and inform listeners daily.
In her speech, Priya Prabakaran, Director of Astro Radio, said, “This appreciation is given to all announcers at Astro Radio as a token of respect for their dedication in being extraordinary radio announcers. To be a great radio announcer is no easy task. Their dedication and aspirations are key to creating programs that are always remembered by listeners.”
She added, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all radio announcers at Astro Radio for continuing to come to the studio every day with full commitment and professionalism. They are the heartbeat of the success of our radio stations.” Priya also emphasized that the career of a radio announcer should not be underestimated.
Instead, it is a recognized and respected profession. “The career of a radio announcer is not something to be taken lightly. Talent and hard work are the keys to an announcer’s success. At Astro Radio, we also don’t measure success solely based on popularity. That is why we appreciate more than 100 announcers who are with us at Astro Radio. You are all the best!”
As a token of appreciation, all radio announcers also received a special medal from Astro Radio and enjoyed a breakfast spread provided by KUEH, a popular local food brand. With the continued commitment of the announcers, Astro Radio remains a leading player in the Malaysian radio broadcasting industry, consistently delivering engaging and meaningful programs to listeners nationwide.
