PM Anwar Extends Festive Greetings, Highlights Government Support for Indian Community

KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has conveyed his warmest wishes to the Tamil, Sikh, and Malayalee communities in Malaysia celebrating their celebrate their respective New Year festivals Chittirai Puttandu, Vaisakhi and Vishu.

In his message, the Prime Minister expressed his hope that the new year would bring increased joy, good health, and blessings to all those observing these significant festivals.

Emphasizing the strength found in Malaysia’s multiculturalism, Anwar urged Malaysians to celebrate this diversity with pride, recognizing it as the vibrant spectrum that makes the nation unique and strong.

He called upon the spirit of unity to continue, highlighting it as the true power of the nation.

Looking ahead, the Prime Minister underscored the government’s ongoing commitment to empowering the Indian community in Malaysia.

He detailed initiatives aimed at uplifting the community through various programs, including the provision of business financing opportunities.

Furthermore, he affirmed the government’s dedication to improving crucial aspects such as education, the provision of places of worship, and the creation of employment opportunities.
