Brzky Haziq: Reshaping Malaysia’s Grooming Industry, One Barber at a time

A visionary leader reshaping Malaysia’s grooming industry from the ground up

KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 – In an industry often overlooked and underappreciated, Brzky Haziq is quietly igniting a revolution — one that puts barbers at the centre of their own success stories.

As the founder of Brozkey, a nationwide network and movement uniting barbershops and grooming professionals, Brzky is not just shaping hair — he’s reshaping perceptions, systems, and opportunities for barbers across Malaysia.

“I’m not here to turn barbering into a luxury,” he says. “I’m here to build an industry that barbers can be proud of.”

From Struggle to Strategy

Brzky’s personal journey began with adversity. Diagnosed with alopecia areata during his school years, he understood how hair profoundly affects confidence and identity. This struggle became the catalyst for his mission: to help others reclaim their self-worth through the art of grooming.

While earning a diploma and degree in electronics and IT, Brzky was already cutting hair for friends in dorm rooms, driven by a deeper purpose. “Even then,” he says, “I was planning my future as a barber — not just as a profession, but as a platform for something bigger.”

Lifting the Industry, One Barber at a Time

After reaching his first 100 clients, Brzky noticed a common pattern: most barbers hit a wall in their growth — not because of talent, but due to lack of structure and recognition.

That observation lit a fire in him.

“I wanted to break the cycle. So I started using content to educate the public — not just about haircuts, but about professionalism, grooming, and self-respect.”

Through Brozkey, he began connecting barbers with opportunities — from collaborative events to industry tours. His content on TikTok resonated deeply, including a breakout video that garnered 30,000 views and validated his approach.

Today, Brozkey has expanded into a thriving network, with more than 50 barbershops engaged and a vision to empower hundreds more.

Barbering with Purpose

Unlike typical influencer content, Brzky’s platform focuses on storytelling — showcasing the passion, pain, and persistence behind every barbershop chair.

“Barbers are human first,” he says. “They deserve systems that support them, not just spotlight them. My role is to build that foundation — with tools, education, and a sense of brotherhood.”

He’s taken that mission across state lines — and even internationally — hosting tours in Malaysia and Indonesia, reaching communities that rarely see this kind of industry engagement.

Revolution in Motion

Brzky sees Malaysia’s grooming sector as being at a critical turning point.

“The transition is happening — barbers are getting more involved, customers are more aware, and the tools are evolving. We’re entering a professional era.”

To match this evolution, he’s laying the groundwork for something even bigger: a complete barbering ecosystem. This includes system-based grooming products, content infrastructure, and an education platform to ensure barbers aren’t left behind.

“In 3 years, we want Brozkey to break into the mainstream market with a RM10 million valuation. But that’s just the number. What really matters is that barbers see this as their industry — and they rise with it.”

Driven by Brotherhood

Behind the ambition lies a deep sense of purpose. Brzky credits his brother, Cheeszy, also a barber, as his earliest inspiration — and says every struggling barber he meets continues to fuel his fire.

Cheeszy (right), the barber brother who first inspired Brzky Haziq’s journey, stands tall at the heart of the barbershop culture that shaped their legacy.

“I know what it feels like to start from nothing. That’s why I’m here — to make sure others don’t have to do it alone.”

His proudest moments include his first national tour and seeing the systems he developed actually change lives. “That’s when it hit me — this isn’t just my dream anymore. It belongs to the community.”

Final Word: Just Be It

His advice to young barbers is as sharp as his fades:

“Just do it. But more importantly — just be it. Don’t chase the label. Live it. Let barbering shape who you are. Because this isn’t just a job — it’s a calling.”

With Brozkey, Brzky Haziq isn’t just creating a brand — he’s building a future. One that empowers, connects, and elevates an entire generation of barbers.
