Johor Bahru, Nov 19 – Johoreans have a reason to celebrate as MR D.I.Y. Group [M] Berhad, Malaysia’s leading home improvement retailer, unveils its latest MR D.I.Y. PLUS flagship store at The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey.
The new store, inspired by the southern state’s rich history, vibrant culture, and dynamic economy, is designed to be more than a retail space – it’s an experience.
The 33,000 sq. ft. store, the group’s 1,300th outlet nationwide, incorporates a unique “Jewel” theme as a tribute to Johor’s identity as a gem of Malaysia.
The grand gemstone-inspired entrance, ruby-red diamond art, and geometric designs echo the state’s progressive yet culturally rich character.
At the heart of the store, the Jewel Artpiece stands as a visual ode to Johor’s beauty, making it an Instagram-worthy attraction for visitors.

The flagship store offers over 17,000 products across MR D.I.Y.’s brands – MR D.I.Y., MR. DOLLAR, MR. TOY, and EMTOP – catering to a wide variety of needs. Beyond shopping, visitors can enjoy interactive experiences, including a motion-sensor LED screen, a retailtainment zone, a permanent playground, and an artistic infinity room. Dedicated promotional areas, a workshop, and event spaces further enhance the store’s appeal as a community hub.
To celebrate the opening, MR D.I.Y. PLUS has lined up a week of festivities and exclusive promotions running from 18 to 24 November 2024.
This store is the second MR D.I.Y. PLUS flagship in Malaysia, following the 2022 launch at Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. Since its establishment in 2005, the MR D.I.Y. Group has grown into Malaysia’s largest home improvement retailer, expanding its portfolio with brands like MR. TOY (2019), MR. DOLLAR (2020), MR. D.I.Y. Express (2021), and EMTOP (2023).
