MTD 2026 Parade Showcases Discipline and Future Leaders of Malaysia’s Armed Forces

Kuala Lumpur, Jan 10 — The Royal Military College (MTD) Annual Parade 2026 unfolded with grandeur and tradition at Kem Perdana Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur, underscoring the Malaysian Armed Forces’ (ATM) commitment to nurturing future leaders.

The ceremony was officiated by Acting Chief of Defence Forces, Admiral Tan Sri (Dr.) Zulhelmy bin Ithnain, who served as the Reviewing Officer. A total of 361 cadets (Putera MTD) — 189 from Form Five and 172 from Form Four — participated in the parade, led by Senior Cadet Officer Rayyan Hageem bin Khairul Azmizal.

The event highlighted discipline, professionalism, and camaraderie, reflecting MTD’s role as an elite military education institution under the Ministry of Defence. Since its establishment, MTD has combined dynamic academic curricula with comprehensive military training, producing leaders of integrity and resilience.

Prestigious awards were presented to outstanding cadets, including:

– Kompeni Delta — Commandant’s Company Cup for excellence in academics, sports, and military performance.

– Wan Aqlan Mugree bin Wan Azizi (Kompeni Hotel) — Board of Governors Award.

– Muhammad A’lim Uzair bin Mohd Khairi (Kompeni Alpha) — Director of Studies Award (Best Academic).

– Rayyan Hageem bin Khairul Azmizal (Kompeni Echo) — Commandant’s Award (Best Military).

– Hazmi Aniq bin Mohd Asri (Kompeni Delta) — Minister of Defence Award (Best Overall).

Dignitaries present included Datuk Lokman Hakim bin Ali (Secretary-General, Ministry of Defence), General Dato’ Azhan Hj Md Othman (Army Chief), and General Dato’ Sri Haji Muhamad Norazlan bin Aris (Air Force Chief), accompanied by MTD Commandant Brigadier General Shaiful Azuar bin Ariffin.

The parade reaffirmed ATM’s dedication to shaping high-quality human capital — disciplined, academically strong, and ready to serve Malaysia’s sovereignty.
