Beijing, August 25 – Malaysia has once again proven its mettle on the world stage. At the prestigious International RobotChallenge World Championship 2025, held from August 15–17 at the Gymnasium of Beijing Science and Technology University, China, our young robotics talents clinched both Gold and Silver Medals in the Puck Collector Junior category – a historic feat that cements Malaysia’s place among global leaders in robotics innovation.
Competing against more than 40 countries, the Malaysian contingent, under the mentorship of World of Robotics Sdn Bhd, showcased not only technical brilliance but also the discipline, resilience, and teamwork required to excel at the highest level.
This year’s victory marks a leap forward from Malaysia’s previous outing, where the team secured just one silver and one bronze.

Dedication Behind the Triumph
Since May 2025, the students underwent an intensive training program guided by experienced coaches from World of Robotics Sdn Bhd. Beyond programming and design, the emphasis was on building character and perseverance – essential ingredients for international success.
“This gold medal is the result of a collective effort by the students, coaches, and parents,” said Mr. Lee Yew Kein, Founder and Managing Director of World of Robotics Sdn Bhd. “Our students have proven that with proper guidance, hard work, and determination, Malaysians can excel internationally. We are immensely proud to raise Malaysia’s name on the world stage.”
A Vision to Make Malaysia Great
Mr. Lee stressed that this achievement is only the beginning. “Our goal is to nurture more Malaysian students with world-class robotics education and provide them with global platforms to showcase their talents. We aspire to position Malaysia as a regional hub for robotics talent – producing a new generation of leaders in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.”
World of Robotics is now planning to expand its outreach nationwide, equipping and training thousands of students to take Malaysia’s robotics industry to even greater heights.

The victory also comes with a call to action. Mr. Lee urged the corporate sector to step forward as sponsors and partners in shaping the nation’s technological future.
“Every sponsorship is an investment in the future of our children and the nation. By supporting these young talents, companies are not only helping them shine on international platforms but also contributing to building Malaysia’s future leaders in science and technology,” he added.
National Pride and Recognition
The Malaysian delegation – led by teachers, parents, and officials from the Ministry of Education – stood tall in Beijing as the Jalur Gemilang flew high. Among the winners were Gold Medalist Faliq Mateen Bin Muhammad Badrul and Silver Medalist Keith Chong Kai Xuan, whose triumphs will inspire the next generation of Malaysian innovators.
The success of Team Malaysia at RobotChallenge 2025 is more than just a competition result. It is a reminder that with vision, training, and unity of purpose, Malaysia can rise as a global force in science and technology.
As Mr. Lee aptly put it: “This is not the end, but the beginning of a greater mission.”
