Petaling Jaya, Nov 10 — ZUS Coffee has confirmed that the employee involved in a viral incident was not terminated, contrary to claims circulating online. The company stated that the staff member is currently resting and recovering.
“The employee is currently resting and recovering from the incident. Claims that the employee was terminated are not true,” ZUS Coffee said in a statement.
The company emphasized its zero-tolerance stance on disrespectful behavior and reaffirmed its commitment to staff safety. “We do not tolerate any behavior that disrespects our community,” it added.
ZUS Coffee also urged the public not to repost the video and to avoid speculative comments. “Working in the service industry is not easy. We are all just trying our best,” the statement read.
The investigation is ongoing, and the company assured that appropriate steps are being taken to support the employee and uphold its values.
