Putrajaya, Nov 10 — A senior officer from a federal ministry has been suspended with immediate effect following allegations of misconduct, according to Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar.
“I acknowledge the case involving a senior officer in a federal ministry. The officer has been suspended immediately to allow a full investigation,” he said in a statement.
The suspension is in line with the Public Officers (Conduct and Discipline) Regulations 1993. “If found guilty, disciplinary action will be taken,” he added.
The government emphasized that it will not compromise on any breach of governance or misconduct involving public servants.
This move is seen as part of the administration’s broader effort to uphold integrity and accountability in the civil service.
